I have dropped this artwork, three bloody, motherf**king time. SERIOUSLY! It was smashed and broken beyond repair (well, almost). But, I was the little train that could; and I just kept going. Bot proud of my self for persevering, because it was a close one, let me tell you! 😑

MIXED MEDIA: found-object sculptural installation.
Once the composition is finished, I’ll ensure everything is painted one of the many shades of pitch-black, effectively tying all the different aspects together.
Then I’ll buff, burnish and accent till my heart’s content (*hint: it’s never content…)
And using rhinestones to finish it off; adding a little twinkley-sparkle, and then, because I, well, always… will add just a touch more. Because I can’t help myself. And yes, I’m aware of what I am…

Final touches all applied…finally finished. Just need to seal and varnish. Super satisfying to get something completed in the midst of kiddy chaos!

Now I just have, like, a gagillion little butterflies to stick to the wall and ceiling…why.the.actual.FUCK.do.I.do.this.to.myself?!
Slowly, but surely…building up the collage layers.
I’ve colour-blocked my chosen scheme, now for the tonal addition in coloured pencil and detail work in pen.
It’s coming along nicely; and the piece has a dual nature…this is my last pregnancy (of two) and it’s a cathartic process, allowing me to wave au revoir to my pregnancy days, in a rather whimsical fashion. *big sigh*
